Doble & Bignall are one a new wave of British chocolate makers creating some absolutely fantastic chocolate, seemingly from day one - and it’s not surprising given their backgrounds in engineering, ecology, agriculture and the top end of the catering industry.
Their journey began after hearing a Radio 4 show about bean to bar and decided to begin to try and make chocolate themselves - the right way. They source their beans from ethical standards and meet our own requirements for chocolate makers to pass of the price of the chocolate onto those that grow the beans.
We are ecstatic that we can offer you their chocolate here, it really is wonderful. They have begun their journey with two origins - the much respected Venezuela and the fascinating Panama. Both are offered in both dark and milk chocolate and is a prime example of how flavour notes can be radically different by altering the sugar content and adding milk.
