Talamanca chocolate is an incredibly small outfit in Costa Rica that makes chocolate from their Finca La Isla estate in Playa Negr that Peter Kring and his wife took over in an abandoned form in 1987. There he not only grows cacao but also black pepper, other spices and a large variety of tropical fruits.

His chocolate is a million miles away from the highly polished versions you would find being made by many Western makers and it is great that we're able to offer such unusual micro-batch chocolate that you won't often find outside of Costa Rica.
