This dark chocolate was crafted just outside Milan, Italy. Artisan maker Marco Colzani has selected the best Venezuelan beans for his bar.
The smooth, seriously dark bar has a smoked spice aroma. A strong roasted wood note dominates the bar. Halfway through we detected a layer of sweetness coming through before fading back into the burnt grass finish.
Marco Colzani studied agriculture before working as a winemaker for several years. As a child however he grew up in his parents’ pastry shop (pasticceria in Italian), playing and learning about all the sweet treats they made. Marco discovered the emerging world of craft chocolate and saw this as the perfect way to combine his knowledge of wine production and childhood love for pastry.
