Andres and Sabrina, the French-based Venezuelan husband and wife behind Ara have managed a huge feat. Having only been making chocolate for a few short months, they have managed to create a seriously impressive range of bars.
The Arriba beans in this bar were grown organically on a plantation in Balao, in the Ecuadorian province of Guayas. As you inhale this bar you’re greeted by a wonderfully mellow aroma with just a hint of the earthy flavours to come. As the chocolate melts in your mouth, revel in the smoothness. This muddy notes of this intense dark chocolate give way to hints of nuts and a gentle spice at the finish. Without even the merest hint of fruit, this is a great bar for those who love earthy Ecuadorian chocolate.
