Chocolate maker Shawn Askinosie spent 20 years at the legal bar as a criminal defence lawyer before switching his attention to chocolate bars in 2005. With the help of family and friends, Askinosie sourced cocoa from around the world for his chocolate factory in Springfield, Missouri.
As well as making fabulous chocolate, Askinosie place great value on education, running a “Chocolate University” for children to learn about business, sustainability and chocolate making.
Made from cocoa from the San Jose Del Tambo region of Ecuador, this chocolate has a wonderfully complex flavour with notes of bergamot orange, honey & jasmine.
Askinosie’s bar has just been awarded Bronze and the Academy of Chocolate Awards 2016. This bar is certified kosher, organic and gluten free.
