Belmont Estate is a cacao plantation that dates back to the 17th century. Shadell, a local Grenadan who originally trained as a lawyer in the US before returning to run Belmont, still uses her family and ancestral traditions in its harvesting, fermentation, drying and handcrafting this chocolate.
Grenada is an island nicknamed “Spice Island”, famous for its production of nutmeg and mace. So it seemed natural for Shadell and Belmont Estate to experiment with its local flavours to create this bar
This 60% dark milk chocolate becomes even more warming and pudding-like with the addition of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and mace. The texture and melt is thick, smooth, and clean.
