Belvie’s Limited Edition “Black Diamond” 100% dark chocolate is crafted in Vietnam, using cacao of the Dong Nai province. The name – Black Diamond – is named after the fruit of a volcano. The cacao beans of this bar had grown on volcanic soils in a small valley of Dong Nai.
Dong Nai is in the south of Vietnam, surrounded by both Lam Dong and Ba Ria, two provinces well established within our Chocolate Library. To Dong Nai’s west is also Ho Chi Minh City, otherwise known as Saigon.
The cacao trees that make this Limited Edition bar experience both the north-east and south-west monsoons of Vietnam, with Dong Nai situated in the Monseoon tropical zone.
The 100% dark chocolate bar has smooth texture with a gentle buttery melt. The cacao has a natural honey sweetness, with citrus and spice undertones.
