The Domori Arriba 70% has been a good, steady Ecuadorian chocolate for Domori, but now they iconic brand has stepped a bit out of their comfort zone with this new Arriba from the much revered Haceienda Victoria estate which is located just half an hour from the world famous town of Guayaquil. And although Fino de Aroma is well regarded as a cacao it hasn't received as much critical acclaim as Venezuelan cacao. But that may change with this wonderful chocolate.
Domori single origin and single estate chocolate always reminds me of couture fashion - elegance, crisp flavours, smooth finishes and this chocolate is no different. But don't be lulled into a false sense of security, behind that elegance lurks a degree of punkishness. But still, I do love it.
I actually planned to add this chocolate to the store a week ago but finished the chocolate before I got a chance to write the description - I think that tells you all you need to know.
