This Choroni dark chocolate has been crafted from cacao of the Choroni Valley, State of Argua. The Criollo cacao type is from the Ocumare strain, a pure strain that Franceschi crafts into its Ocumare 70% chocolate bar. This cacao had been transplanted by Franceshi to its own plantation located in the Paria Peninsula in Venezuela. It is the largest agricultural cacao development in Venezuela.
This dark chocolate expresses notes of tobacco and tropical papaya, with a honey sweetness and woody undertones. The chocolate melts smoothly and yields a long lasting finish.
