Hoja Verde is determined to prove that not only is great cacao grown in the tropical lowlands of Ecuador, but spectacular bars are made there too.
Although the cacao content of this bar is only 50%, we were instantly taken by its intensity. It isn’t nearly as sweet as you might expect such a bar to be. We detected some wonderfully nutty notes hiding behind the fruity surface of this chocolate.
This bar achieved a Silver at the Academy of Chocolate Awards 2017.
