From the southern limits of West Africa we have chocolate from the Congo. Traditionally most of the region's, and in fact the world's cocoa comes from Ivory Coast and Ghana, and relatively little from Congo. One might thing that as cocoa grows 20 north and south of the equator that more countries on the continent of Africa would produce chocolate, however, Africa is a unique landmass where most of the cocoa produced is grown north of the equator and almost none south of it.
