When we started a few years ago Manufaktura Czekolady was one of the first makers we stocked and we loved them then. However, we felt the UK market wasn't quite ready for them. But now they have a 100% we thought we'd give them a go.
Ghana may not have a fantastic reputation as a grower of fine flavour cacao, but we love this one. It reminds me of the Menakao 100% from 2014 - although at the end of the melt it softens into more floral notes than continues with it's sharp flavours. In fact, it becomes more of a Pralus 100% style chocolate as I work my way through the bar. Even on subsequent bites it changes again and starts to offer honey and caramel notes.
