Our Academy of Chocolate award-winning 70% hot chocolate is rich and intense, containing only organic dark chocolate, flaked and mixed with a little extra cocoa powder.We’ve designed it to be versatile so that it can be used to make any style of hot chocolate you wish, or even use it for baking and cake decoration.Start making your hot chocolate by pouring a very small amount of very hot water onto three spoons of chocolate flakes in a mug. Mix together to form a smooth paste that will be the base of your hot chocolate.Then choose how you want to drink your chocolate:Espresso – this is how we like it best. Add a small amount of hot water to give you an intense, thick shot of chocolate. Add sugar if you need.Long – fill your mug with hot water or milk, depending on how dark or milky you like your chocolate (or half and half) and taste before deciding if you’d like sugar.Indulgent – top up with hot cream and stir well. For a really thick hot chocolate, heat until the cream boils briefly and the hot chocolate thickens.Once you’ve made your hot chocolate you can add toppings like marshmallows or cream if you like, or try adding flavour by dropping in a twist of orange peel or use a cinnamon stick as a stirrer.
