The chocolate opens on soaring notes of citrus and fresh oranges. Honey sweetness and dried figs are balanced out by sharp cherriest and the refreshing tartness of juicy red currants. The smooth bar has a thick, lighty buttery texture that coats the mouth. The chocolate ends with a long lingering finish and floral notes of bergamot.
Ritual sourced the organic cacao beans for the bar from Maya Mountain Cacao in Belize. This organisation helps to connect smallholder Belizean farmers with people interested in sourcing the highest quality cocoa beans. It provides support to farmers to improve the size and quality of their harvest as well as ensuring they get prices that reflect the quality of their beans.
