As we steadily move the selection of chocolates we stock towards more ethical producers we reach the wonderful social joint-venture operated between the British chocolatiers: Rococo and the Grenadian chocolate makers: The Grenada Chocolate Company who jointly operate a 9 acre farm on the island. Production of the beans that make this chocolate is very limited which gives a desirable exclusivity to this chocolate.
Often chocolate is sold on exclusivity alone, but this bar stands very much on its quality and flavour. Even if it wasn't exclusive it would be incredibly desirable. Prior to the raisin and figs tone that dominates the flavour, there are notes of raw mushroom which may surprise - and actually reminds me very much of many chocolates from Venezuela.
As you may expect at the 66% cocoa level, there is powerful sweetness that runs through the experience. But don't let that put off any dark chocolate lovers, this bar provides a very enjoyable experience.
