A delicious double treat from Vancouver based Sirene. Founder Taylor Kennedy was originally a photographer before snapping and moving to crafting chocolate bars.
In this twin pack are two wonderfully contrasting bars, one from Ecuador, one Madagascar. The Ecuadorian is initially smooth and deeply chocolatey with a slight earthy undertone. Strong roasted notes dissolve into a lightly astringent finish. Meanwhile the Madagascan is not so much fruity as zesty. Sharper, citrus notes are balanced by a surprisingly rich and fudgy texture for such a dark bar.
