Smooth Chocolator’s Dominican dark is a particularly intense interpretation of the bean. Yoon Kim, the one-woman show behind Smooth Chocolator has organic sourced cacao beans from OKO Caribe in Dominican Republic. Located in the San Francisco de Macoris region of the Dominican Republic, OKO Caribe works with many small holder farmers. The organisation helps the farmers to improve harvesting and fermentation and thus bring out the best flavours in the beans.
Once fermented and dried, the cacao is shipped to Yoon in Geelong, Australia for her to craft into this dark chocolate bar. The wonderfully thin mould means that the chocolate melts quickly in your mouth, making it easier for you to enjoy the bar’s aroma.
Deep chocolate taste along with cherry like acidity and subtle liquorice note.
