Colombian dark chocolate crafted in Bogota using beans from the Meta region.
Opening the bar, we were immediately struck by the chocolate’s light reddish hue. This lightness is reflected in the bar’s sweet and gentle aroma. The slightly grainy texture, combined with the chocolate’s sweetness gives an initial fudgy note. Cinnamon and nutmeg are sprinkled on top of rosemary honey. The sugared notes intensify into light caramel, treacle and even molasses on the finish.
Tibito sees itself as a celebration of the flavours and aromas of Colombian cacao. It sources its cocoa beans from different plantations in different regions of Colombia. The beans are then taken to its factory Bogota. Here the cocoa from each region is transformed by hand into a chocolate that reveals and rejoices in the beans’ terroir.
