One of the criticisms of the Zotter Bacon Bits is that its not crunch like bacon but has more of a pate texture. You certainly can't level that criticism at this version from Vosges as it contains 6.6% uncured fully cooked bacon pieces - yes, that's right. Please do read the ingredients below to make sure you're happy before you buy as its doubtful we'll refund you because you didn't see it contains bacon, although we may entertain the idea if you didn't notice the 'celery juice powder' - who in their right mind adds celery to chocolate?
As you can imagine, this is a very salty chocolate and you get hints of the spices that the bacon is cooked with as well as the crispy bacon that only Americans seem able to make. With Danish bacon the you'll have to leave it under the grill for ages and then, just then will the bacon rind get to taste like the bacon does in this chocolate. It's sort of mixing a quite Friday in with the hangover cure on a Saturday morning - all into one experience.
