For those of you who love sweet milk chocolate but with made by one of the finest single origin chocolate makers then this Peru 45% is well worth considering.
The cacao is grown at the El Naranjillo cooperative which is central Peru and although there is long lasting acidity on the melt, this chocolate should appeal predominantly to those that prefer more commercial milk chocolate, but are willing to try something a little different.
There are strong caramel notes that run through the melt but also a very prominent creaminess which is reminiscent of Cornish ice cream - just with a hint of strawberry coulis to finish.
