This is the first time I've come across any chocolate made with cacao from the Peruvian village of Barranquita, although there have been some very good chocolate coming out of the San Martin region of Peru, not least by Fruition and Potomac. But this is certainly one for those that like it heavy on the fruit and flowers as there is a very noticeable orange profile here - a sweet acidity backed up by meadow flowers and summer breeze.
There's no harshness present at all and is a perfect foil for the higher cocoa chocolate that Zotter is so skilled at producing.
