A delicious 75% Ecuadorian dark chocolate from Joseph Zotter.
The Austrian maker has sourced Arriba Nacional cocoa beans from Ecuador’s Los Rios province. With no added sugar this chocolate bar reveals the full force of the Arriba cacao.
Zotter has conched his beans for a total of 36 hours to produce a perfectly smooth bar with his characteristically silky melt. The buttery mouthfeel contrasts with the initial sharp notes in the chocolate. The bar has a deep, roasted aroma that builds towards a finish laden with tobacco smoke.
This bar achieved a Bronze at the Academy of Chocolate Awards 2017.
